King Charles III is currently going through one of the toughest moments in his life as he was recently diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer after less than a year of reign. However, the king has always seen the bright side of life and that’s why he took a moment to thank the Commonwealth for their good wishes during his cancer treatment.
On March 11, the 2024 Commonwealth Day was celebrated with the theme of this year: “One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Commonwealth.” This year’s edition is going to be held by Prince William and Queen Camilla Parker after King Charles III and Kate Middleton are absent from the bigger picture due to their medical procedures.
It was previously reported King Charles III pre-recorded a short video message to thank the Commonwealth. Despite not being there physically, the king wanted to stay in everyone’s hearts during this important day for the British monarchy.
“In recent weeks, I have been most deeply touched by your wonderfully kind and thoughtful good wishes for my health and, in return, can only continue to serve you, to the best of my ability, throughout the Commonwealth. My belief in our shared endeavors and in the potential of our people remains as sure and strong as it has ever been. I have no doubt that we will continue to support one another across the Commonwealth as, together, we continue this vital journey.”
King Charles III has proved once again that he is a good leader for the monarchy, even if he is not completely present. The king’s resilience is admirable, which already has increased his popularity in the United Kingdom, and subsequently the acceptance of his rising reign.
