Meghan Markle’s journey inside the royal family was marked by atrocious headlines and negative comments about several aspects of her life, particularly from her offspring. The Duchess tried to earn her spot as a royal member, but her efforts didn’t pay off, which made her depart from the British monarchy along with Prince Harry.
It was reported Prince Harry put so much pressure on Meghan Markle’s shoulders to return to the U.K. to participate in an Invictus Games event, and finally, she accepted it. However, there are several challenges Markle must overcome to gain the public’s acceptance back in the United Kingdom.
The PR firm taking on the Duchess of Sussex as a client has a mountain to climb. The latest popularity poll confirmed that 66% of the British people actively dislike her. This time, Michael Cole, an American Journalist and wrestling commentator, was in charge of giving the low blow to Meghan.
Cole strongly believes Meghan is a “tough sell” who needs to “boost” her image in Britain before making a great comeback. The commentator also explains Meghan’s disapproval started when she was interviewed by Oprah in March 2021.
“It will take a PR genius to restore that level of public approval. The admiration that the actress from “Suits” enjoyed at that moment has steadily diminished since.”
There’s no doubt Meghan Markle has a long road to go. However, Meghan Markle is slowly climbing in popularity as she is making her presence noticeable in the media again. The living proof of it was her attendance at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas on March 9.
