Katy Perry, known for reigning the pop music industry in the early 2010s, made an unexpected appearance at the Women in Music awards in Los Angeles, on March 6th. The singer made headlines for more than just her presence, but because of a rumor that started online that claims Katy could be pregnant.
The rumors were fueled primarily by the outfit that the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer decided to wear to the event, it was a red two pieced dress that exposed part of her belly. After posing for the cameras, the photos were uploaded to social media, where users started noticing and commenting on her apparently ‘prominent’ tummy, according to them.
The rumors spread quickly through all social media and reached millions of fans, and amid the conversation, the opinion seemed to be divided into only two perspectives: the ones pointing out the belly, and the ones defending Katy for her wardrove decision by mentioning that she just wanted to feel sexy wearing an open back, open lower back two pieced dress.
Also, it is worth noting that Katy has a daughter with her husband, Orlando Bloom, Daisy. When she was pregnant for the first time, Katy was eager to announce the news herself with an Instagram post, so it wouldn’t make sense for her to just appear with a belly for her second children and spark rumors.
