MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios are presently working on a limited series about the murder of JonBenét Ramsey, Variety reported. “details the mysterious death and the surrounding media frenzy in the murder of JonBenét Ramsey, a case that captivated an entire nation and left us with more questions than answers.”
Although 26 years have passed since the crime, the causes of the tragedy have not yet been discovered. The father was always the prime suspect. A grand jury voted to indict the parents for child abuse and aiding and abetting a felony in 1998. For two decades, the murder of JonBenét has been a topic of concern in the United States after the person found lifeless in his home. An autopsy confirmed that the young corpse showed signs of strangulation and other acts of violence, including sexual violence. NBC News reports that JonBenét Ramsey’s body was found by her father, John Ramsey, in a little-used basement room hours after JonBenét Ramsey’s mother, Patsy Ramsey, called 911 to report that a ransom note had been found at the foot of a staircase on the morning of Dec. 26, 1996.
