A Virtual group becomes the 1st group ever to earn the No. 1 spot on “Show Champion”

The South Korean music programs have had a larger popularity among K-Netizens, who always are eagerly waiting for their favorite idols to grace the stage. However, this time is a unique and special moment in the Kpop scene, a virtual band made their way to the No. 1 spot on “Show Champion.”

On March 6, a new episode of “Show Champion” was broadcast with a special edition of the show. The show usually broadcasts live performances, but this time, they replayed top past performances of the most popular idols.

Just when the music program was about to end, the hosts announced the candidates for first place including, CRAVITY’s “Love or Die,” LE SSERAFIM’s “EASY,” PLAVE’s “WAY 4 LUV” BIBI’s “Bam Yang Gang” and NCT’s Taeyong’s “TAP.”

Ultimately, PLAVE took the award home, making their first-ever music show win. In addition, they became the first virtual group ever to win on “Show Champion.” Undoubtedly, an astonishing feat inside the Kpop industry. You can watch the winner’s announcement below:
