When we grow up with a traditional family, there are certain things that have to be fulfilled even though we do not want to and when we decide that we are not going to do it many times it can be seen as some kind of act of rebellion, and that has drawn much attention as we are now talking about the Spanish royalty, we all know that the royal family, no matter where they belong have to meet certain standards that they have already established, and is that tradition is the most important thing for families and there is a particular tradition that Queen Letizia of Spain, does not want to follow.
Every first Friday of March, a member of the royal family visits the Cristo de Medinaceli, located in the neighborhood of Las Letras in Madrid. King Felipe VI has recovered this custom this year, doing it on his own. Queen Letizia rarely participates in events of this type, as her last appearance in them was in 2004. It is uncommon to see her participate in this important custom that the royal family has maintained for almost 300 years. Followers of the Christ of Medinaceli are eager for this day, as the church opens its doors so that anyone can perform the well-known kissing of the 17th century image of Jesus of Nazareth. This is the only day of the year when the church can receive visitors for this occasion.
Although Queen Letizia does not usually go to this kind of events, her husband has been quite formal in this tradition, because even though the Queen Letizia does not accompany him, he decides to go on his own, an act that is highly applauded by the whole Spanish society that enjoys watching this act and knowing that the King is happy to do it.
What do you think about it? Are you agree with the beautiful Queen Letizia?
