King Charles III is facing one of the most difficult moments in his reign, after undergoing a medical procedure for an elongated prostate, he was also diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. The monarch of the United Kingdom is doing the impossible to be back in line despite the rumors that he will abdicate the throne to let Prince William become the king.
Amid the royal crisis with King Charles III and Kate Middleton’s health status, the king has proved his brilliant leadership skills with a smart move to stop the increasing rumors about his abdication. King Charles III has shared his new military position, which previously was held by the late Queen Elizabeth II, putting the rumors to rest.
The monarch of the United Kingdom is the new Colonel-in-chief of the Royal Welsh Regiment of the British Army. The announcement was unveiled to celebrate St. David’s Day, the patron saint of Wales.
“HM The King has been pleased to take on the role of Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Welsh regiment, in succession to the late Queen who held this role with great affection for 16 years. It is especially dear to HM The King as his first military appointment as Prince of Wales was as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Wales, a position he held for 37 years before their amalgamation in 2006.”
These statements are clear proof that King Charles III has no intentions to abdicate the throne anytime soon. It was reported Prince William is slowly becoming the face of the royal family because of the amount of royal duties he is weighing on his shoulders. However, it wasn’t enough for the king to give him the royal title.
