We are definitely in a moment of great change, and it is that recently there was something that did not happen for the world of beauty and of course, all the contests we know. Now, the news indicates that an Iranian woman who is a mother, has become Miss Germany.
Definitely many times we could not understand what were the standards of beauty, and is that the contests that represented worldwide, always had very established contestants, which had to follow even physical specifications to compete, making discrimination was something of the day to day, but apparently, we would be more than ready to see something different and take away the stereotypes of beauty with which we have always lived.
On Saturday, Apameh Schönauer was crowned Miss Germany 2024. Schönauer, an architect by trade who is also a mother, claims to be deeply committed to promoting women’s rights and assisting immigrants in assimilating into German society. She is also a migrant; having left her birthplace of Iran at the age of six, she moved to Germany with her family
Factors such as origin, sex, religion, marital status and whether they are married or have children are no longer an obstacle today for some beauty pageants. Other women over 30 also went through the final moments, such as Vanessa Reder, an environmental activist, or Tamara Schwab, who almost died twice but survived thanks to a heart transplant and now encourages more people to donate organs. Like her, other women in their 30s have also gone through their final moments.
Congratulations to the beautiful winner, Apameh Schönauer, and we can’t wait to see who will be the other representatives worldwide. What do you think about it? Do you agree with the winner of Miss Germany?
