First-time SAG Awards hosts Issa Rae and actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani, who costarred in “The Lovebirds,” were both hosts. At 4 p.m. Pacific time, the red carpet preshow began streaming live on YouTube, TikTok, and Netflix at 7 p.m. Eastern time. Recall that “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” are the front-runners in the film categories, each with four nominations, including one for the top ensemble prize.

The life achievement award went to 81-year-old actress and filmmaker, Barbara Streisand. Over the course of her more than 60-year career, she has won prizes at all four major award shows: the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys.

No doubt the SAG Awards gave us many iconic moments, but seeing Pedro and Barbara’s award made for a memorable night.
