One of the most and conic things that happened during the Grammy Awards was the announcement of Beyoncé’s new music, but not only because the superstar is giving a World Tour, after her successful album which has been televised for posterity, now the artist is ready to break the Country music industry and she has done it fast, as her music is coming back to break more Records so probably next year, is going to be Beyoncé’s year again.
Beyoncé, who made her debut on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs list with two songs that have a strong country influence, is the first Black woman to achieve this feat. According to the journal, the singer’s banjo-heavy song “Texas Hold ‘Em” is at number one, while “16 Carriages” comes in at number nine.
The two brand-new country tracks from Beyoncé’s highly anticipated album will be out on March 29. The song’s ascent comes after Tracy Chapman made history by being the first Black woman to write a Country Airplay No. 1 all by herself. Last July, Luke Combs’ rendition of Chapman’s 1988 hit song “Fast Car” debuted at No. 1.
Undoubtedly, this could become very controversial, as we must remember that Country is a highly acclaimed musical genre in America, so that a star like Beyoncé can reach Country, may show some kind of nonconformity among the members that make up the audience. But despite all the controversy that can be generated around this what we have to accept is that the new music that Beyoncé is releasing is being very well received and is already breaking records showing once again the versatility and answering to all the haters why she is a superstar.
What do you think about it? Do you like Beyonce’s new music?
