Mieka Pokarier, 16 years old, went on a road trip with her 10-year-old sister and her mother to see the American artist in ‘The Eras Tour‘. However, their SUV collided with a semi-trailer the day before the event, with tragic results.
The teenage Mieka died at the moment of the accident, while her sister suffered brain and pelvis injuries and a broken leg. She was taken to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital, where she is in an induced coma while in critical condition.
For her part, the girls’ mother suffered minor injuries and was taken to Dubbo Hospital, where the semi-trailer driver was also admitted and is in stable condition.
