BLACKPINK sparked intrigue and controversy after they didn’t renew their contract immediately, and took them almost 3 months to do so. Their fans, better known as BLINKS, were more than excited because of the group finally staying together, but had a bittersweet flavor after finding out the girls didn’t renew their individual contracts with YG Entertainment.
The news started trending in a matter of hours, which led numerous South Korean media outlets to believe this might be an internal problem of the group. However, Rosé proved her detractors wrong by announcing her label for her solo activities, just like Lisa and Jennie did.
In addition, Rosé’s announcement put a rest to the rising claims the South Korean artist was joining the U.S. Columbia Records. Rosé becomes the third member of the group to dabble in solo activities, and she is set to make a grand comeback with a new solo track titled, “Vampirehollie.”
Although, the four members of BLACKPINK are committed to keep shining together in group activities under YG Entertainment. They are also pursuing to grow as individual artists, including Jisoo who has been dabbling into the acting scene in the last couple of months. These are great news for BLACKPINK’s fans around the world.
