Every time we get into superhero topics we can’t hide the fact that it scares us, and with the history that the studios have had, wanting to make everything politically correct, it has given them completely against them, and the hero movies would go from one failure to another and the new Spider Man movie would not be the exception.
The case of Spider Man is most interesting, because the movies starring Tom Holland are extremely beloved, since entering the multiverse we could see our other Spider Mans, not to mention that the animated movies are a success at the box office. Madame Web was expected to have the minimal quality of the other films, but apparently it’s a completely different and very sad story.
With the release of the film Madame Web, specialized entertainment and movie sites have already commented on the first impressions that the film has given them and the truth is that they are not good at all, such is the example of Rotten Tomatoes, where the film currently has a critical rating of 15% approval, while the audience has given it a poor 57%.
These are some reviews that can be read on the web:
“Madame Web is a dud, but it’s one that Johnson transcends long before the final credits roll.- Manohla Dargis
What an unreservedly hopeless film this is: a sort of two-hour explosion in a boringness factory, in which the forces of dullness and stupidity combine in new and infinitely disturbing ways.- Robbie Collin
If you have no idea what the film Madame Web, is about, here is the FilmAffinity synopsis:
Cassandra Webb is a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront events that have been revealed from her past, she forms a relationship with three young women destined for a powerful future… if they can survive a deadly present.
What do you think about it? Do you think the film deserves the poor critical rating?
