Jackson’s nephew made a perfect representation of his uncle in a new image from the movie, recreating the iconic photo of Michael on the stage during his Dangerous Tour in 1992 by “photographer Kevin Mazur, who documented Michael’s final rehearsal, and is now the first to photograph Jaafar in character as Michael“, said the director, Antoine Fuqua.
Jaafar joined the movie as the star after two years of casting. The producer of the movie, Graham King, who worked on ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ (2018), said, “I was impressed by the way he represents Michael’s spirit and personality“. He added, “It was clear that he was the only person capable of taking on this role“.
The final decision came from Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, who is the grandmother of the young singer. She accepted and said, “Jaafar embodies my son“. He will demonstrate it to all the world in the movie titled ‘Michael’ that will premiere in April 2025.
