Katy Perry talks about her experience at Windsor Castle with the royal family

Katy Perry was honored to perform at Windsor Castle after King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker’s coronation ceremony on May 5, 2023, at Westminster Abbey. The American artist was praised for her performance but also became a viral meme during the ceremony because she couldn’t find her seat.

On February 13, almost a year after the ceremony, Perry decided to open up about her experience at Windsor Castle with some royal members. During the night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the artist confessed that the royal family allowed her and her mother to stay in the royal residence.

“I brought my mother because, I mean, that’s like the best gift you could ever give your mom.”

The American Idol judge also commented that she rushed through the palace to meet up with King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker for an American idol segment. However, she got lost inside the castle because she had to take certain routes.

“Everyone was running. I ran straight into them, and I was like, ‘Oh, went the wrong way!’ ”

Katy Perry had such a great time with Jimmy Kimmel remembering her funny moments inside Windsor Castle. Perry’s performance was greatly received by the British people and the royal members as Princess Charlotte was spotted singing along to songs like, “Firework” and “Roar.”
