Every year many brands prepare for the event of the year and the Super Bowl is the perfect space to promote all the products you want, even the air time in which you can see all these ads can have a cost of more than 7 million dollars.
American soccer is highly watched when thousands, and millions of spectators gather to watch the Super Bowl and with that also the advertisers that will be performing, and this year the one that definitely stole the show was the Dunkin Donuts commercial with Ben Affleck that had several celebrities that were paid millions of dollars to be able to present their face in this game.
The 36th USA TODAY Ad Meter competition, which assesses the Super Bowl advertisements annually, attracted over 160,000 voter registrations. With a score of 6.68, “Like a Good Neighbaaa,” featuring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger, from State Farm was victorious in 2024. Ads from the NFL, Uber Eats, Kia, and Dunkin’ completed this year’s top five.
Dunkin Donuts knew what it was doing, so its marketing strategy has been a success so far that even the great franchise has made a special menu for all coffee and Super Bowl lovers. Recall that Ben Affleck appeared as a Dunkin’s worker in a 30-second clip that greatly benefited the brand and received $10 million for the ad, according to CNN
Three of the six items on the “DunKings” menu are iced drinks. Three iced drinks are available on the Affleck and Dunkin’ Donuts menu: the Mixed Berry Beats Dunkin’ Refresher, the Hazelnut Heartthrob Iced Coffee, and the DunKings Iced Coffee, which is referred to as the actor’s “go-to order.” The menu also offers two food items: a selection of three DunKings Munchkins and the Everything Encore Breakfast Sandwich. There is also a hot version of the Hazelnut Heartthrob coffee.
