The highly anticipated hip-hop debut studio album Vultures, featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West, was ultimately released on February 9 by the powerhouse combo ¥$. Before the record’s release on February 8, Ye hosted a listening party for Vultures in Chicago, where he was raised. The Vultures Listening Experience, an hour-long event, honored numerous Chicago-based artists and featured West’s tracks from The College Dropout, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The list of contributors on Vultures 1, allegedly the first installment of a “trilogy,” which we’ll believe when we see reportedly includes Lil Durk, Bump J, Freddie Gibbs, Playboi Carti, Nipsey Hussle, YG, Travis Scott, and Quavo. Oh, and Chris Brown.
With the exception of a tiny bit of cloth and her tall boots, Bianca Censori appears almost completely nude on the album cover. Kanye West is wearing all black and his trademark Jason Voorhees mask behind her. Originally scheduled for release in October, the first volume kept getting delayed, first to December and then into the next year.
The Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign album had first dropped on TIDAL. Eventually making it to Apple Music, fans still await its premiere on Spotify. Following the release of the album cover teaser on Friday morning, West shared a slow-motion video of model Vinetria jogging while donning the newest YZY items, which included a white tank top with the word “wet” printed on the front.
After Ye’s official request was turned down, Donna Summer’s widower Bruce Sudano accused the rapper of illegally sampling her song “I Feel Love.” This led to Kanye West coming under fire on Saturday. Sudano stated on Twitter that Kanye West:
“asked permission to use Donna Summer’s song I Feel Love, he was denied… he changed the words, had someone re sing it or used AI but it’s I Feel Love… copyright infringement!!!”
Recall that recently Kanye West has been quite viral on networks due to licensing and permissions issues with artists over the rights to songs he used for his album
