The British monarchy has faced numerous controversies and losses in the last couple of years. Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties and the death of Queen Elizabeth II, some members of the royal family doubled their duties, particularly Prince William, who is currently the face of the royal family.
The royal followers were shocked after Kate Middleton underwent a planned abdominal surgery and King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis. Both of them have postponed almost every royal duty to a further date until they fully recover. However, some of this task couldn’t be postponed and the Prince of Wales had to take charge.
Despite Queen Camilla Parker’s update on King Charles III’s health status as “extremely doing well” after going back to his home in Sandringham, the cancer must be something to take care of for a little longer. For now, all eyes are on Prince William and if he is going to be able to fill King Charles III’s shoes and balance his family life.
One of the most important events in the United Kingdom is also going to be carried out by Prince William. The Commonwealth Day celebrated on March 11, 2024, surely is going to be one of the first made solely by the Prince and this is going to be the ultimate proof that he is worthy of becoming the monarch of the United Kingdom for the next couple of decades.
