On February 7th, Prince William attended an important event where he spoke out for the first time over King Charles III‘s cancer diagnosis and health issues that have surrounded his family in the last few weeks.
The Prince of Wales took the podium at London’s Air Ambulance Charity Gala Dinner to give a speech, and he took the opportunity to show his gratitude for the Bitish people who have been sending “messages of support for Catherine and for my father, especially in recent days“. He added that “it means a great deal to us all“.

The heir to the U.K. throne also joked a bit by reiterating how in the last few weeks every update has had a medical focus, and he added, “I thought I’d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all!“.
The Charity Gala event has been the first public royal duty of Prince William since he took a pause from his commitments in the royal family to take care of his children and wife, Kate Middleton, after her abdominal surgery, which requires many recovery days.
