Maisie Williams had to lose 26 lbs. for important role

The British actress who brought her to stardom for playing her iconic role as Aria Stark in Game of Thrones Maisie Williams reveals that for her role as Catherine Dior, sister of the famous Christian Dior she had to lose 26 pounds. The Game of Thrones star reveals the regime she had to go through to play the role as undergo excessive sweating tactics used by boxers to lose weight before fighting, also says she ate very little and foods that help her to dehydrate, comments on the sleep problems that came to suffer getting to sleep three hours a day.

The new look is a series that tells the life of different designers like Coco Channel and Christian Dior and other great designers in Paris during the Nazi occupation in 1944. Maisie Williams plays Christian Dior’s sister after being emancipated by the Nazis for being part of the resistance.

Maisie Williams has shared a little bit of the diet she had for the challenging role she will be playing:

‘I had to be up at 4am to start sweating,’ she explained. ‘The night before, at about 7 or 8pm I was allowed to have something salty and dehydrating – some smoked salmon and a tiny glass of wine.

The story based on true events recounts the events and torture that the actress had to interpret citing that she wanted to convey the horrors that lived the little sister of Dior to be arrested by the Gestapo. A historical saga full of real facts, fashion and a soundtrack full of artists like Florence Welch, Lana del Rey and more.
