The worrying and unexpected announcement over King Charles III‘s health has alerted all British people, but recent updates on the monarch’s cancer diagnosis from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have calmed the UK with hopeful revelations.

On February 5th, Buckingham Palace announced King Charles III was diagnosed with ‘a form of cancer‘ after his recent surgery due to prostate enlargement in the recent weeks. The monarch is currently receiving treatment; for that reason, he has postponed his royal public duties until further news.

The Prime Minister Sunak said during a radio interview with the BBC, “This has been caught early and now everyone will be wishing him that he gets the treatment that he needs and makes a full recovery“, assuring their attacking the disease on time.

Rishi Sunak also talked about his first feelings when he was informed about the King’s health condition by saying he was “like everyone else… shocked and sad“. He ended his statement to the UK by saying that this situation will be overcome and that “he’ll be in our thoughts and our prayers“.
