Bob Odenkirk has been ruling the TV shows since 2015 after he starred in one of his biggest characters, Saul Goodman, in “Better Call Saul”. The actor has gained everyone’s heart because of his great acting skills, but he cannot fake his face after finding out he is related to King Charles III.
Odenkirk participated in the United States television show, “Finding Your Roots” which traced the actors’ families back five generations and they discovered something particular. Bob is the 11th cousin of King Charles III, and he immediately reacted to the news:
“It makes me feel like a part of history that I didn’t think I was any part of, but I’m an American. I’m not a monarchist. Well, maybe I’ll change my mind on that! That’s so funny, man. Oh, that is crazy!”
The Ancestry experts on the show revealed that Bob Bob Odenkirk’s fifth great-grandfather, Friedrich Carl Steinholz, was born in Plön, Germany, in 1755. The Duke of Plön was related to the royal families of Europe due to intermarriage. After the actor was told he was the king’s 11th cousin, he confessed he couldn’t wait to tell his mother.
Bob Odenkirk completely changed his mind about the monarchy because of this particular fact, which is even more hilarious. You can watch a little teaser from “Finding Your Roots” episode starring the “Better Call Saul” actor here:
