Griselda, the new Netflix series with Sofia Vergara would be a success in spite of the plot

We all know at this point that the leading company in audiovisual entertainment would be Netflix, and streaming came to revolutionize the entire industry and we love it, so it is no surprise that the new series starring the beautiful Sofia Vergara is a success.

Less than a week after its premiere, Griselda has already taken the top spot on the streamers’ most-watched list thanks to its biographical murder drama. This places it above the two Netflix series that were previously mentioned in addition to viewer favorites like Queer Eye, Young Sheldon, and Love on the Spectrum.

If you have no idea what the series is about, here’s the synopsis:

6 episodes. It tells the real life story of ambitious Colombian businesswoman Griselda Blanco, creator of one of the most profitable drug cartels in history. A mother of three, in the Miami of the 70s-80s, Griselda’s lethal mix of charm and unsuspected ruthlessness helped her navigate her way expertly between family and business, which led her to be widely known as the ‘Black Widow’ or ‘the Godmother of Cocaine’.

Since Griselda is now available to stream on Netflix, reviews have decreased, and the general consensus seems to be favorable. Right now, Griselda has an excellent 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, a review aggregator website. Its audience rating, which is 76%, is less noteworthy because viewers are generally more forgiving than critics with formal training.
