Oprah Winfrey celebrates her 70th birthday

If we think of a representative person in the entertainment industry, one of the first names that would come to mind for many people is Oprah Winfrey, and this woman has opened the doors in the industry in such a big way that she is a representative and a highly respected person. Now recently the famous public figure has turned 70 years old and she has celebrated it.

Winfrey will not be throwing any lavish parties to commemorate her birthday, a rep for the former daytime talk show host has told ET. Winfrey goes into additional detail about this choice in an essay that was published Monday in Oprah Daily.

There are certain celebrity names that are here to stay and Oprah Winfrey’s would be a good example, as she has been in the entertainment industry for many years, and would now be celebrating her 70th birthday with her favorite people and family.

“Although my favorite grandson Luca is too young to understand how special this moment was over the Christmas vacation, it’s not lost on me,” King’s caption read.
King then revealed what Winfrey wanted most on her big day.

“When asked how she wanted to spend her birthday, she said, ‘No presents, no parties, no surprises! ‘ Her preference was to sit by the fire with a good book and savor the fragrance of her life! Happy Birthday Oprah!”
