King Charles III leaves hospital after Kate Middleton
England’s King Charles III has been discharged from a London hospital after undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate.
“The king was discharged from hospital this afternoon following planned medical treatment and has rescheduled his upcoming public engagements to allow for a period of recuperation,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
Buckingham Palace said the 75-year-old monarch had left the hospital and that his upcoming public engagements have been rescheduled “to allow for a period of private recuperation.”
The palace added that it “would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit, and is grateful for all the kind messages he has received over the past few days.”
After being admitted on Friday, the King stayed for three nights at the London Clinic, a private hospital near Regent’s Park. Following the operation, the King was reported to be “doing well.” A Kensington Palace spokesman said Kate is “making good progress” and that she and her husband, Prince William, were grateful to hospital staff “for the care they have given.”
“The Welsh family continues to be grateful for the good wishes they have received from around the world,” the spokesman added.
The health problems of Charles and Kate Middleton leave the monarchy these days without three important figures, as William will also suspend his presence in public events to be with his wife. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you think the king’s health will improve?
