A debuting idol is being harassed because he resembles BTS’ V

BTS V was one of the first sensations once BTS debuted back in 2013, the idol has always stood out for his charisma, uniqueness, and talent over the years. The idol had such a great year in 2023 after releasing his critically acclaimed album, “Layover.” However, he had to halt his personal and music projects to enlist in the South Korean army.

Taehyung’s fans, better known as ARMY, have stated how much they miss the boy band after all the seven members enlisted in the military. Despite their being a commanding force of the kpop scene, numerous new groups are still emerging, and one Rookie idol has earned all the attention, maybe for the wrong reasons.

Ahead of his debut, WAKER’s Kwon Hyeop gained attention on social media because of his uncanny resemblance to BTS’ V in pre-debut photos shared online. The emerging idol shared some sweet photos and videos of him showcasing all of his charms. However, he didn’t receive praise because of him, but for being almost identical to Taehyung.

Some K-Netizens showed their outrage because numerous fans were posting he was going to be the perfect replacement, at least for the next 17 months while V is in the military. Kwon Hyeop received hate trains because of his appearance and some K-Netizens also explained he shouldn’t be targeted for his resemblance. What do you think about his uncomfortable situation?
