In recent days, the famous K-Pop girlgroup (G)I-DLE has been trending on social networks after the release of their new musical theme called ‘Wife‘, but despite its success, KBS banned it due to its inappropriate lyrics.
On January 22nd, all the group fans celebrated the musical release, which reached such great numbers of reproductions in South Korea that it even became one of the most popular in the country, but they never expected the action of the broadcasting company.
KBS unveiled a statement revealing that they have banned the transmission of this song due to its explicit and sexual lyrics. With the intention of not being part of the promotion of this type of content to their diverse audience, they announced its prohibition on all their channels.
In addition, another song by the K-Pop act (G)I-DLE has been banned before; it is ‘Rollie‘ from 2017. This prohibition could not be good for the girl group and the success of their songs, and even more so when their album titled ‘2‘ is about to release, specifically on January 29th.
