HYBE seeks to replace BTS by debuting the new group TWS

HYBE, the agency behind BTS, has gained a lot of attention in recent days as it seeks to replace the renowed boygroup by debuting a new one with the name TWS while the BANGTAN members perform their military service.

Before the BTS boys entered entirely into the South Korean army, the agency released the new K-Pop boy group, specifically under Pledis Entertainment, the label behind SEVENTEEN, which since 2020 has become a subsidiary of HYBE.

This new group, which debuted on January 22nd with the release of the mini album ‘Sparklin Blue‘, and the MV of its main song ‘Plot Twist‘, is formed by six members in total: five South Korean boys and a Chinese with ages between 16 and 20 years old.

Shin Yu: Born on November 7, 2003 (Korean)

Do Hoon: Born on January 30, 2005 (Korean)

Young Jae: Born on May 31, 2005 (Korean)

Han Jin: Born on January 5, 2006 (Chinese)

Ji Hoon: Born on March 28, 2006 (Korean)

Lee Kyung Min: Born on October 2, 2007 (Korean)

Although it is expected that this new K-Pop boygroup will be as successful as the recent girlgroups of the agency, NewJeans and LE SSERAFIM, it is important to note that the BTS phenomenon is hard to surpass.
