It seems that the world of cinema is now focusing much of its effort in making biographical films and it is normal what we have seen lately in high-level figures such as the biography of Princess Diana or musicians like Elvis Presley or Freddie Mercury if we want to go to a more scientific side, we also have the life of Stephen Hawking or even Steve Jobs. But now we would be going for the world of comedy with a biopic of Richard Simmons.
Apparently not all that glitters is gold, as many statements are coming out regarding the new Richard Simmons biopic, as it seems that he never gave his permission to make this work.
Richard Simmons did not authorize a biopic
Richard Simmons, who disappeared from the public scene in 2014, stated on Facebook that “I never gave my permission for this film” after the Sundance Film Festival premiere of the short film The Court Jester, in which his almost-double, 55-year-old Pauly Shore, played Simmons.
Hello everyone.
You may have heard that they are going to make a movie about me with Pauly Shore.
I have never given my permission for this movie. So don’t believe everything you read.
I no longer have a manager or publicist.
I am just trying to live a quiet life and be at peace. Thank you for all your love and support.
Richard
