Selena Gomez has been the absolute queen of social media in recent months. Along with her bestie, Taylor Swift, Selena has been the talk of the town for multiple reasons, mostly good, such as her massive success with her makeup line Rare Beauty, becoming a soon-to-be billionaire, her hit song ‘Calm Down’ with Rema, and her hit series ‘Only Murders In The Building’. However, she’s also generated a lot of conversation regarding her very questionable taste in men, as she herself revealed that she’s dating the musical producer Benny Blanco.
Selena Gomez and Blanco met in the work environment, as he was a collaborator on Gomez’s 2015 track ‘Same Old Love’, and remained good friends for a few years until recently, when they decided to give each other a chance at love. While it’s nobody’s business, people tend to expect someone as THE Selena Gomez, famous for her beauty, to date someone with a similar image, someone with great charm, good looking and preferably as rich as her, but that just doesn’t seem to be the case as she’s dating Benny Blanco, who is constantly making jokes about feces, posting gross content on social media, and who has been known for not giving much importance to his physical appearance, which often results in him looking a bit dirty, or even sick.
With that in mind, it’s kind of excusable what happened to him at the EMMYs red carpet. Blanco showed up as Gomez’s guest, which was expected as he is her current boyfriend, however, he didn’t seem to care about the fact that he was going to be in front of a lot of well dresses, relevant people, and decided to wear some baggy clothes that looked like pajamas showing his chest hair, a casual robe on top of it, untrimmed beard and a bunch of random necklaces. At the entrance to the venue, some security wards did not believe him when he told them he was Selena Gomez’s boyfriend, and they tried to kick him out, mistaking him for a homeless man. Here’s the whole thing on video.

A truly embarrassing moment that maybe will resonate in his mind the next time he attends a suit and tie event. Hopefully.
