In a recent conversation with People magazine, the actress Tina Fey confessed that she and Tim Meadows demanded to retake their iconic roles in the new ‘Mean Girls‘ movie that premiered last Friday, January 12th, in theaters.
Fey and Meadows played Ms. Norbury and Principal Duvall, respectively, in the first ‘Mean Girls’ movie in 2004, which became an icon of the era. For that reason, the directors decided to make a musical remake and asked these actors to replay their past roles.
Given this, Tina Fey, who also acted as the writer of the first installment, said, “I am reprising my role as Ms. Norbury because we thought, well, teachers work for a long time. So it might make sense if Tim and I did it“.
“So I called Tim, and I was like, ‘Will you do it? I’ll do it if you do it’. And we said, ‘Yes, as long as we don’t have to sing‘“, revealing that this was their only demand to participate in the musical, and after that revelation, she added, “It was fun. It’s been nice to see Tim“.
