In recent days, news has arrived about the excited and long-awaited biopic titled ‘Michael‘ of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, that, according to previous updates made a year ago, will be starred by the singer’s nephew Jaafar Jackson.

The renowed media outlet Variety shared that the good news is that the company behind the movie has already set a release date, and this is April 18th of the next year, 2025. Also, they have shared the official synopsis of the production:

Michael will bring audiences a riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale — from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances. As never before, audiences will experience an inside look into one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known“.

In the note, they also revealed that the movie is going to be released by Lionsgate on a national level, while Universal is going to be in charge of its overseas distribution. In addition, they stated that the production of the film will start on January 22nd of the current year.
