Queen Camilla is becoming quite dynamic, and she understood that now the world is evolving and the way of communication with the new generation is completely different, so her having a podcast now makes her presence much more viral and with that, increases people’s love.
Queen Camilla Parker is reading a disturbing novel about holding King Charles III as a hostage.
By showing much more interest in the queen, there are quite interesting new news every time. At some point of shared that Queen Camilla Parker enjoyed reading Harry Potter to her grandchildren, but now she would have opted for another very different type of literature that would involve having the king as a prisoner.
For her book club, Queen Camilla has selected a book that imagines her husband, King Charles, and other members of the Royal Family as hostages. Published in 2007, The Lords’ Day tells the story of a security breach at the opening of Parliament. Michael Dobbs, the author, expressed his excitement and humility to the BBC, saying he was “totally surprised, delighted, very excited and quite humbled” that his novel was chosen.
Dobbs, who is also a member of the House of Lords, has written other books, including the original House of Cards. A year ago he sent a copy of The Day of Lords to the new King and Queen “for a laugh.”
“I didn’t expect them to read it, they’re very busy people,” he added.
About three weeks ago, his publisher told him that his book had been put on the Queen’s Reading Room reading list, The Telegraph originally reported:
“I was gobsmacked when I found out,” he said. “If you look at her previous choices, we have Dickens, Tolstoy and some of the greatest modern authors on the list, and to have a Dobbs novel included was totally unexpected.
“The Queen is very serious about people reading and opening their minds, which is what books do best,” he added.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it’s okay the kind of literature Queen Camilla is having?
