During his appearance on the podcast ‘The Crown: Fact or Fiction‘, Kate Middleton’s uncle calls ‘The Crown‘ depiction of his family ‘ridiculous and fantastical’, as they protrayed his sister and his niece in a wrong and false way during its sixth season.
Gary Goldsmith, Carol Middleton‘s brother, was asked about his thoughts on the Netflix show, and he said: “I really, really enjoyed the first couple of episodes and the first series of The Crown, but it seems to just drift into this fantasy world (…). So once it started becoming ridiculous and fantastical, it was very difficult to watch, so I stopped“.
Although Goldsmith believes the family doesn’t watch the show, he said, “I don’t understand why Carole hasn’t taken legal action ’cause literally it’s that bad. Carole isn’t that manipulative, evil person, sat in a dungeon, coming up by ways by which she can actually force her way into the royal family“.
The uncle of the Princess of Wales also praises his niece, saying she is a brilliant and “amazing” person who worked hard but “that wasn’t noticed. It was all to do with ‘Kate you’ve got to be here on this day, wearing these clothes, doing these things, showing your legs’, and it’s just not my family“.
Goldsmith finally told the Daily Mail podcast that the acts of his sister Carole on the show by saying her own daughter to show a bit of leg to get in the royalty are “so far away from the truth. It’s just ridiculous“.
