This controversy started on January 10th, when the company posted a dance video of the group, in which the South Korean was seen using an electronic cigarret in the practice room while his members were there rehearsing.
In South Korea, smoking indoors is an illegal action. For this reason, when the video arrives at the authorities, the singer receives a notification and punishment for his action, as the company behind him informed in the statement.
“Today, we received a fine notification from the relevant health department regarding the matter and will be paying it off. We will pay special attention so that such matters do not arise in the future“, revealed finally SM Entertainment about the actions they’re going to take.
