It seems that the story of the king of rock’n’roll is far from over, and despite his death several decades ago, his legacy has remained in popular culture to such an extent that movies are still being made today, inspired by him, his wife, and of course his daughter, who unfortunately passed away recently.
Elvis Presley’s daughter will have a book of memoirs after his death
After the terrible news of Lisa Marie Presley’s passing, it is now common knowledge. The news that a book of her memoirs will be published by Random House.
The untitled book, which the publisher described as a “raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir [that] will lift the curtain on one of America’s most famous families,” will be published Oct. 15, along with an audiobook edition that Riley will read, which includes, according to Random House, “never-before-heard recollections in Lisa Marie’s voice.”
“She listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs at Graceland, just the two of them, a sanctuary from the chaos of her life,” according to Random House.
Keough said in a statement, “Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’s daughter. I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one. I’m so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest, and in doing so, I do hope that readers come to love my mom as much as I did.”
