ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon has been in the spotlight for all the K-Netizens because of his sassy interaction with a fan from last year. Usually, numerous idols interact with their fans on Weverse, but some of these interactions turn out to be rude or disrespectful to the idols, but Sunghoon knows how to handle it flawlessly.
The interaction took place in December 2023 on Weverse, after Sunghoon shared a screenshot of him listening to “Mad” by Ne-Yo stating he loved the lyrics. Immediately, some of Sunghoon’s fans better known as ENGENEs asked why, and questioned if he even understood the meaning of the song.
“Mad” by Ne-Yo is a 2000 R&B track well known because of its music video presenting a narrative where the singer and his girlfriend are fighting. However, the end of the song tells us he wants to make things up before they go to bed. Sunghoon shared his admiration for the song because the lyrics embody a sad feeling. He didn’t hesitate to use a question mark to respond to this inappropriate comment, emphasizing the fact that the question was ridiculous.
Immediately, ENGENEs stated the original poster had a rude attitude and inappropriate behavior toward ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon. Nevertheless, ENGENEs also praise the idol’s attitude because he always found a way to respond politely but sassy at the same time. You can watch the “Mad” music video to fully grasp the meaning of the song.
