Jo Koy responds to criticism after hosting at the Golden Globes

Every time we see an awards event, it is very important to take into account that the audience we are presenting to is a very diverse audience, and that the audience that will be paying attention will also generate a judgment and above all, a lot of content on the internet, but unfortunately, sometimes it is filled with infamy, something that Jo Koy, who is being harshly criticized after his driving at the Golden Globes, is going through.

Having the job of hosting a world-class event can be a lot of responsibility, so producers have to be very careful who they choose, a problem that the Golden Globes are facing after a night with several uncomfortable moments. At Sunday night’s awards show, Jo made several jokes in her opening remarks that didn’t go over well with the celebrities in attendance.

“You know, I’d be lying if [I said] it didn’t hurt,” Koy said. “There was a moment when I thought: hosting is hard work. And, yes, I’m a comedian. Being a host is a different style.”

Koy added that he still appreciated the experience.
“We only had 10 days to try to write something for this monologue. It was a crash course. And, you know, I feel bad but I still have to say I loved what I did.”

One celebrity PR told CNN that “it’s a thankless job.” Numerous big-name comedians turned down the job, reportedly including Ali Wong and Chris Rock. According to some reports, even Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who may be the most well-known hosting team of all time, have stated that they will not be hosting the Golden Globes again.
