aespa made a buzz in 2023 with the release of their fourth mini album, “Drama.” the album was greatly received by the general public and the girls’ fans, better known as MY. Finally, the girls’ efforts paid off after they earned the No. 1 spot on “Inkigayo.”
On January 7, a new SBS’s “Inkigayo” episode was broadcast, and the night’s atmosphere was full of energy and entertaining performances. Geenius debuted with “Voyage,” and some other idols returned with their newest singles, including PUZZLE, TVXQ!, Kim Jong Hyeon, Jung Se Woon, and RIIZE, among others.
As the show was about to end, the tension increased because of the nominees for this week’s No. 1 spot. EXO’s “The First Snow,” BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s “You & Me” and aespa’s title track, “Drama” were the candidates, ultimately, “Drama” took the award home.
