After a while, BLACKPINK‘s renowned singer Jennie has finally shared an explanation as to why she did not renew her contract with YG Entertainment for her solo activities; instead, she decided to create her own agency, which is called ODD ATELIER, and intends to “capture the public in a unique way“.
The vocalist mentioned, “I would have liked to continue my solo activities with the company I have been with for 7 years, but I have many plans in mind, and to carry them out, I need to be a little freer and make my own decisions, so I founded my own company“.
All the members of the K-Pop group followed Jennie’s footsteps and signed a contract with YG Entertainment exclusively for BLACKPINK‘s group activities; however, for their solo activities, they can choose the agency of their choice, giving them a little more freedom to pursue new projects.
It should be noted that it was YG Entertainment who believed from the beginning in their career as BLACKPINK members, leading them to success for seven years. For that reason, everything related to the group will continue to be supervised by the agency that has always trusted them as a band.
