After a while, BLACKPINK‘s renowned singer Jennie has finally shared an explanation as to why she did not renew her contract with YG Entertainment for her solo activities; instead, she decided to create her own agency, which is called ODD ATELIER, and intends to “capture the public in a unique way“.
The vocalist mentioned, “I would have liked to continue my solo activities with the company I have been with for 7 years, but I have many plans in mind, and to carry them out, I need to be a little freer and make my own decisions, so I founded my own company“.
Jennie explains why she didn’t renew with YG Entertainment for solo activities:

All the members of the K-Pop group followed Jennie’s footsteps and signed a contract with YG Entertainment exclusively for BLACKPINK‘s group activities; however, for their solo activities, they can choose the agency of their choice, giving them a little more freedom to pursue new projects.
