One of the most iconic singers of all time is undoubtedly Shakira, and her emblematic way of dancing, as well as her distinctive hair and voice that is difficult to match, won over the international public, to the extent of being the theme song of a World Cup, which catapulted her to international fame, giving her the name of one of the legends of pop.
It is not the first time that they do something in honor of the Colombian singer and is that recently an honorary presentation was made where Shakira demonstrated with the movement of her hips why she is one of the favorite artists of our favorite artists, as even Britney Spears, the princess of pop, has confessed. Shakira posted on social media about a bronze statue that was made and posted in Barranquilla, Colombia, the location of her birthplace. The monument, which embodies the singer’s famous “Hips Don’t Lie” dance motion from her 2005 music video, was made by artist Yino Márques. And because of the pose it is impossible not to think of the Statue of Liberty, a topic that has been much discussed in social networks, with comments such as –I will tell future generations that this is the statue of liberty-
Let’s remember that one of the most recent things in Shakira’s life was her separation with player Gerard Piqué, causing her to release music that quickly broke records and put her back as one of the most famous Latin singers and played around the world.
