Two weeks later, a report has come in that has finally revealed the official cause of death of 82-year-old Ryan O’Neal, the actor who is immensely recognized for his outstanding performance in the Academy Award-nominated film ‘Love Story’.
Although O’Neal was diagnosed in 2001 with leukemia and his battle with stage 2 prostate cancer was revealed in 2012, these were not the causes of his death, as according to the death certificate revealed by The Blast, the cause of death was congestive heart failure.
His son, Patrick O’Neal, was in charge of informing us through Instagram of the passing of his father, with the following message: “My dad passed away peacefully today. With his beloved team by his side, supporting him and loving him as he would any of us, he will always be remembered as the funniest person in the room“.
Cardiomyopathy was a condition that Ryan O’Neal had been dealing with for many years, the main causes being alcohol abuse, high blood pressure, or coronary artery disease, as this prevents the heart muscle from pumping blood effectively throughout the body.
