Beyoncé surprisingly landed down in Brazil (Dec. 21) and oh boy, did the Beyhive (that’s the name of Beyoncé fans) buzz with hype! The pop diva graced the country with her presence for the premiere of the “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” in Salvador, Bahía and fans couldn’t keep quiet – and who can blame them?
The “Break My Soul” hitmaker attended the event titled “Club Renaissance,” celebrating the big-screen debut of her concert film in Brazil. And just like that, she took the stage in a dazzling silver gown, impressing fans left right, and center.
Now, of course, the singer brought a slice of her tour tradition to Brazil, leading the viral “mute challenge.” During this fun moment, Bey sings her bop “Energy” which says “Look around, everybody on mute,” in the lyrics. The audience is supposed to stay quiet for a few seconds. But guess what? The crowd, in impressive levels of hype, missed the cue to go silent!
Currently, there are tons of fan-recorded videos, showing the Grammy queen trying not once, but twice, to get the crowd to hush. But plot-twist! The screams and cheers just wouldn’t stop, leaving Beyoncé in splits of laughter. When Queen Bey comes, no one stays quiet.
Finally, the “Renaissance” queen took a moment on stage to express her connection with Brazil and thank her fans in the country. “I came because I love you so much,” she confessed. “It was very important to me to be here — right here in Bahia. The Renaissance is about freedom. It’s about beauty, joy, resilience.” Talk about a heartfelt speech!
