BLACKPINK is getting ready to drop their “A VR Encore,” which is a virtual reality experience from the final show of the “Born Pink World Tour” in Seoul, South Korea. After weeks of anticipation, the release of this digital experience is closer than ever, and it looks like both fans and BLACKPINK members are ready for this show.
The 70-minute concert is set to include some of their best bops, featuring “Shut Down,” “Type GIrl,” or “Pink Venom” with that virtual reality twist that makes it all better. In this VR experience, BLACKPINK will transport us to the Meta Horizon Worlds’ new Music Valley venue with the Meta Quest 3 headsets.
Recently, the girls sat down with Billboard to talk about all the juicy details regarding the premiere of their VR concert and their excitement around it. For example, Jisoo confessed that it was “interesting to think of our performances being presented in a new way with virtual reality.” Lisa agreed, explaining that “fans will enjoy the playful aspects of the VR concert. It’s like a new, fun experience for them.”
Similarly, Rosé said that it was the perfect time to release the VR show because technology finally met BLACKPINK’s expectations and visions for their tour. And as per future plans, Lisa says that the group hopes to “keep pushing boundaries” to create more unique experiences for their fans, also called Blinks.
Finally, Jennie complemented this info by thanking all Blinks for their support and promising more dazzling performances. Now, mark your calendars: “BLACKPINK: A VR Encore” will be dropped for free in virtual reality (which means you need a VR headset) on Tuesday, December 26.
