G-Dragon has been the most famous Korean act in the last couple of months after he proved his innocence during a drug-related case. The idol has been cleaning his name, and starting a new phase in his life that includes a change of music agency for future music project releases.
On December 20, YG Entertainment announced G-Dragon’s official leave from the label, despite the increasing rumors about his contract renewal. Numerous K-Netizens strongly believe the drug abuse allegations strongly influenced the music agency, and they didn’t want to be surrounded by a lot of negativity.
The music agency started their short statement by emphasizing Big Bang started their career in 2006, and it was an honor to spend time with G-Dragon during all these years. They sincerely wish a new great beginning for the idol as they asked for a lot of support and encouragement from his fans.
G-Dragon quickly announced he is under a new label called Galaxy Corporation, which is ready to start working with the idol for a near release in the first quarter of 2024. In addition, the new music agency and the idol are set to have a press conference on December 21, KST to talk about future projects together.
