Recently, it was revealed through a special announcement that Queen Camilla Parker follows in the footsteps of Meghan Markle and will create her own podcast, which will be available from January 8th on the Spotify and Apple platforms. It will feature eight episodes focused on literature.
The Queen launched in 2021 an online book club called ‘The Queen’s Reading Room‘. In view of its great success, she has decided to expand the company with this new literary series to be shared on a weekly basis. The main objective is to provide an opportunity for listeners to know their favorite readings of all time.
This new podcast of the United Kingdom monarch will be hosted by Vicki Perrin, and each episode will include a segment on the Queen as well as interviews with great guests such as Joanna Lumley, Sir Ian Rankin, Susie Dent, David Baddiel, and Ann Patchett.
It should be noted that ‘The Queen’s Reading Room’ confirmed that it will once again hold its successful literary festival, which will take place at Hampton Court Palace on June 8th, 2024, after which the wife of King Charles III was applauded for actively encouraging reading.
