Even though most of the nominations went to the success of Barbie, we don’t forget the good time we also had with Oppenheimer, and above all, for the marketing that both films did, giving us the satisfaction of an interesting cinematic multiverse. Already months after its release, the film may be on standby for its arrival through digital platforms, so people will be able to see it if they felt it was too long in the theater.
Oppenheimer breaks Amazon: “It’s unheard of in the last decade.”
It’s funny how the world of physical things works. Even though we live in the digital age, there’s still a lot of physical product sales. Like movies in physical format or vinyl, so it’s gotten to a very high level of sales that gets the attention of the entire audience
Oppenheimer is purchasing all of its 4k Blu-Ray copies from Amazon, which is one of the leading distributors of the physical format in the world. The film went on sale on November 21, and just a week later, according to Amazon and other retailers such as Best Buy, it had sold out of all 4k stock. An unprecedented achievement in the last decade.
“It’s unheard of. In the last decade, I can’t think of another title that has caused that kind of fervor,” commented Justin LaLiberty, chief operating officer of Vinegar Syndrome, Oppenheimer’s own director Christopher Nolan championed the value of “a version you can buy and have at home and put on a shelf so no evil streaming service can steal it from you.”
We are very excited for the movie to come out on streaming so we can watch it many times. What are your thoughts on this? Did you like Oppenheimer’s film?
