When the Live Action movie of The Lion King came out, people had a lot of expectations, because even the famous international singer Beyonce was part of the Sountrack. Now, apparently, we will have a sequel that will talk about Mufasa, so basically it will be a prequel. With the news of a prequel to The Lion King we want to think the best, but the last few movies that Disney has done in general has been quite questionable, but in personal taste, I liked seeing the little animals.
Mufasa, The Lion King prequel information revealed
As a generation that grew up with the cartoon movies, of course they are wonderful classics, but for new generations, I don’t see it as bad to see one more Lion King story. And of course we’d love to see Beyonce singing in one of these movies again.
Disney revealed that it was working on a new film production with Barry Jenkins directing and a script by Jeff Nathanson. It looks like the film follows the growth of one of the Pride Lands’ most important kings, returning to the savannah where Rafiki tells his grandfather’s story to Simba and Nala’s daughter Kiara.
Pumba, Timon and Rafiki will again be played by Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and John Kani, while Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. will play younger versions of Mufasa and Scar, with a view to a December 20, 2024 release by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
That means Disney has agreed to continue with its Live Actions that have been heavily criticized due to the casting decisions they have had for their latest productions. What do you think about it? Will you be watching the Mufasa movie?
