Surprisingly, J.Y. Park, the famed K-pop producer, and JYP Entertainment founder, has joined fan communication app Dear U’s Bubble. The fan community app is known for giving that link between artists and fans through a messaging system, and it looks like J.Y.Park didn’t want to miss out on the party, being the platform’s latest addition.

Much like any other Kpop project, the 52-year-old’s joining was teased with pictures and promoted in an enigmatic way. Bubble even dropped a photo, captioning it “Who’s Next?” The teaser image showed some hands with a distinctive ring, and detective fans quickly guessed it was all about J.Y.Park.

Now, make no mistake, oh no! The “Who’s Your Mama?” singer is no rookie to the kpop industry. From producing hits to mentoring future stars, his influence is undeniable. However, his new venture into fan communication apps provoked mixed reactions, and even a little backlash.

Some South Korean users seemed to be surprised and curious, while others commented and joked about his joining. Including things like fans telling him how to manage JYP artists (TWICE or Stray Kids) to protest messages or trolls making fun of his musical and stylistic choices.
